1. Generic Application form (IMM 0008): Point 12, Under PERSONAL DETAILS: Previous countries of residence: During the past five years have you lived in any country other than your country of citizenship or your country of residence for more than six months?
My question is, I lived in Canada for more than a year in the last 5 years, however i travelled to India inbetween for 2 weeks.
for example,
Jan to April 5 (In canada)

If yes, can i mention 'Vacation' in the activity column & the 'Employer' as the Canada branch office (eq: ABC Ltd, Canada) as i travelled to India in-between my deputation Point 12: Addresses

Hello, can someone help me understand the order and significance of steps? I noticed some people had done their biometrics before medical exam. I've just done my medical exams and I'm wondering what are the next steps. I'm an inland regular Quebec Skilled Worker and I applied on October 1st 2018.
I have some questions:
1. What exactly involves the biometrics step? Collection of fingerprints and such?
2. Does biometrics follow the medical exam usually?
3. What are the remaining steps after the medical exam? I understand there's a 3 month time until the medical exam is processed.
4. Is there a background check after medical?
5. Is there a security check as a result of living in Canada for 3 years?
Thanks, much appreciated for whoever can answer my questions.

Hi guys,
I got my csq After graduating from university.
I sent my application (federal stage) last November but haven’t had any news. First question is: is that normal? It’s been almost a year.
second question: I’ve been living with my partner, who is Canadian, since December 2019. Do I need to notify CIC? Will this have an impact on their final decision?
also, anyone knows how COVID is affecting processing times?

Yes that's normal due to covid19 situation, nothing moving forward specially for Quebec applications.
2. If this relationship consider common law partner then you need to notify CIC and it will affect processing of your application but not the final decision
3. No exact processing time they will never tell about accurate processing time

Hello, I'm in the same boat. Although the system says "security has not started", I think its already being processed by an external agency as soon as medical is passed. Maybe some other members with this experience can comment on this!
Hi. I am in a similar situation. We did our medicals in December 2019 and submitted PCC (not Canada) in April 2020. I called IRCC in July and they said both the criminal and security screening had not started at that point. I called again at the beginning of August and in early September and they said the criminal review was in progress, and the security had not started. My bridge (A75) work permit is expiring in five months so I guess I have to extend it.
Does anyone has any idea on how long their criminal and security screening took? Also, has anyone extended an A75 work permit?

After you send this required info you can expect a generic reply saying that "we receieved your request and will forward it to concerned department. Please note that you will not get a reply if your application processing time did not exceed the general processing time limit" or something on the same terms.
