Got my WP extension approved today without Bio-metrics. It looks like IRCC has restarted processing.

On 11th March 2020, My employer applied the WP extension for me and Visitor extension for my wife.
I also applied for my wife's SOWP on 25th April 2020. Her application also got approved today.
After a wait of 5 months finally got a good news.
Hope everyone will get their WP soon.

Just received Biometrics correspondence letter (because my old biometrics is still valid and on file)
Does this mean anything these days? or it's just another 2 months of waiting before I can get an answer from IRCC

You are exempted from biometrics so you will get a refund if you paid for it.

I got an update today. When I submitted the application it didn't ask for open-work permit fee. Today they sent me request letter for that. God knows when they're going to revisit my file again.

Don't we pay the open work permit and temp residence fee at the beginning ( $ 255) ? It asked me to pay before submitting my documents.
