Hello everyone. I need some advice. I just got my ECA -master's degree level and IELTS results L7 R7 W8.5 S8. I entered the EE pool yesterday and my score is at 373. I know its really going to be a long stretch. If i retake my IELTS to get the L8 R7 W7 S7 to get to CLB 9, my points will climb up to 431 which is still not high enough for the EE. My NOC is 6221 technical sales - medical equipment. If I get PNP nomination, then I wouldnt need to retake the IELTS. Should I retake the IELTS? Or do I have a chance for PNP? Which states or provinces would you suggest for me? Will appreciate if anyone can give me some insights. Thank you.
Hello great people!
Haven done self evaluations for Canada immigration eligibility, I discovered that I am qualified for both the Federal express entry and provincial nomination programs.
I wish to know which of the immigration option to go for and why. Also, which is faster to process?. How often does these options release draws?
Thanks in anticipation.
Regards,
Nke
Hi folks,
I am doing the process by myself. I did a small error while creating my EE profile and I have received ITA.
In Personal ID, I have inserted 'country of issue of passport' as Australia instead of India. I realised it now after receiving ITA.
Can I rectify it before submitting the final form and state this error in LoE, as it doesn't affect my CRS and just an error.
Anybody faced similar situation - typo/errors? I would highly appreciate - if anyone can guide me here.
Cheers!
Guys need your advise on when to obtain Police Certificate. I am currently on Work Permit in Canada and awaiting WES ECA for myself and my spouse. Once it is completed I would have a CRS score of 474 and hence would like to try out FSW before i finish up my 1 year by March and qualify for CEC.
I had been living in USA from 2014 Jan-2020 and moved here in Mar 2020. My spouse was living with me from Dec 2016 till Mar 2020 in USA and then from Mar 2020 in Canada. I am aware that I have to apply for PCC in USA through FBI. Is PCC required for India too ?
Hi everyone, I recently finished my studies in Toronto and I'm planning to apply for PR while here in Canada. I just wanna ask what do you provide as proof of fund access if most of your funds are still in your country of origin? I have my bank account here but I need to use my account from overseas to back up my settlement funds. Will bank certificate and bank statement would suffice? TIA!

Hi everyone, I recently received an ITA for FSW. I did a virtual diploma online from a UK college which is accredited by WES. Now in documents required, it says Police certificate for UK is required. I am sure its not required as i was not physically there.
Has anyone been through this ? Should i just upload a Letter of Explanation to that upload request page ?
It's all on the CIC site:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp
But...
(Please note that this info does not apply to the Federal Skilled Trades Program)
1) Determine your eligibility by doing this CIC quiz
http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp
2) Get your language test(s) done. You must get at least CLB 7 in each of the four sections for the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) or Canadian Experience Class (CEC) streams. But getting CLB 10 gives you maximum points for language.
How does CLB match back to the language tests? That info is here -->
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/language/charts.asp
3) Get your qualifications assessed by doing an
Education Credential Assessment. Details here -->
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp
4) Determine the code that best applies to you on the
National Occupation Classification (NOC) list
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp
The occupation must be NOC 0, A, or B for FSW or CEC.
5) When you have those in hand you
create your express entry profile.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp and
register for the Job Bank http://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home-eng.do?lang=eng
You'll be given points based on your age, education, number of years work experience, and language skills. The points system is detailed here -->
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp
You'll be in a pool with thousands of other applicants
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/pool.asp
Of course, the more points you have the better. The max is 1200, with 600 of those points coming from your ability to snag a PNP or a job offer with a very hard to get Labour Market Impact Assessment
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/employers/lmo-basics.asp
For CEC applicants, the max is 600 but someone who has no work experience in Canada who is only eligible for FSW can only get up to 520 points.
6) Finally, wait for your invitation to apply (ITA). But in the interim you will need to do the following:
a) Have your
application fee (C$550 each for principal applicant and spouse) and
right of permanent resident fee (C$490 each for principal applicant and spouse) ready
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp
b) Identify how you will provide
proof of funds http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp
c) check out what is required for the
police certificates http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/security/police-cert/index.asp
d) find out how long it takes to get a date for the
medical exam.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp
e) contact previous and current employers about them providing
job letters. You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week. Work experience while you were a full-time student does not count.
f)
research cities in the province(s) where you want to live.
this is amazing ,, how about Quebec ??
