We applied in December 2019 with family in Toronto and so far no news.
Average is 1-2 years unless you are the expedited list and the processing times have gotten better although covid will likely increase the timelines again.

Did they ask for documents of they just decide on the base of your narrative you summited with your refugee application. Thanks again.

From Yemen, the reason was War, They sent me a mail in November 2019 asking me to prove that I completed my high school education, I sent it to them by a lawyer, after that in February 2020, send me a mail with a decision
Syria, Eritrea, Yemen, probably South Sudan and perhaps a few others depending on the circumstances. They are all countries where there are significant issues like a civil war.
