What proofs should i gather ? Problem is that most clients dont wana give reference latter and here in UAE we do alot of work verbally and get paid in cash.
I guess we have similar timelines , I already mentioned all the details of my application before and you already commented on that. So I just need to know what did you write in (the schedule 6a: business immigrants - self-employed person -> page 2 of 4 -> 7- Your experience (federal business class applicants) ) , also even if you do business verbally you can attach emails or any way you that you did to contact and make business with your client , anything to prove what you were doing in the past as a self employed it will help with your case. Finally you should prepare yourself , I guess getting that email means you just need to give the business plan and you're done , Congrats. Have you done your medical yet?

Please note I am not IRCC consultant and these are my thoughts based on the questions asked:
There are three things the officer is looking for clarification and additional evidence:
1. further evidence of your ability to meet the definition of a self-employed person
2. including evidence of your previous ability to earn a self-sustaining income through self-employment in cultural activities or athletics
3. A detailed and specific plan indicating how you intend to become self-employed in Canada and how your contribution to cultural activities or athletics would be significant, along with any additional supporting evidence that you wish to submit
For questions 1 & 2, in order to prove, I assume you would have provided the reference letters, company details.
Did you provide the billing/invoices, confirmation payment receipts (can be a cheque, online payment, paypal or any other money transfer systems)
Invoice and payment receipt is an easy way to prove that you are not employed
did you provide evidence that the company is yours and you filed taxes as self-employed or business owner
Sample work done as self-employed, if you are a graphic designer, then did you provide a portfolio?
Does your reference letter is on the letterhead, name, signature, date, client address, and phone number - can they verify if needed
Do you have some email evidence that you have raised an invoice or submitted hourly rate
Have you explained how you were self-employed in Dubai and how you were making money for living? (how to get new clients or project or work)
Question 3:
Did you remember what you have put in Sch 6A. Question 11: -> this matters a lot
You can do a business plan and explain what you do and how you expect to make money?
Please note these are my opinions based on my analysis and thoughts based on the officers ask.

Explain to the officer that in UAE a lot of the work is done without contracts and that you were paid in cash like many other arabic countries. Send photos for the designs you made and I guess the most important part is the business plan and that you meet the definition of a self employed. Send receipts for paying bills such as school fees, renting, electricity etc.. to show the officer that the main source of money was your self employed job. Do your best, work hard for it, don't loose hope try as much as you can to provide them. I know an applicant who were asked for the same and finally she got the PR.

Thank you for your kind words and appreciation, but it is something that I should worry about not celebrating because the visa officer gave me last chance to prove it, and most probably he will refuse my case as he is not satisfied with my documentation. well, I have to get more documents for him only solid documentation can save my case.
well, I want to know if anyone has experienced the same thing.?

Well, any opinion is most welcome and if someone wants to know more about that email i can share more content because it would help others.
The answers of your questions are :
All evidence i have submitted with my application was referenced latter from my clients, bank statements where all monies come and out, my company license where i am 100 percent shareholder my tax registration.
I didn't upload a portfolio and business plan.
because I am not a hardcore graphic designer I am a web designer cum digital marketer.
i do design banners and still like that for Facebook and Instagram campaigns.

You are almost there and hiring an attorney or lawyer helps you to address the case or prepare the documents. Please do remember the application is ours and we are responsible to prove as self-employed.
I would suggest preparing some work samples as a small portfolio(a list of pages in sequential order). Since you are a web designer, you should have done some UI screens or websites, banners, and marketing flyers, prepare a small few page document of screens to showcase your self-employed work.
Does your business site or personal website or Behance or adobe portfolio site or Facebook/Instagram marketing site where your work is published? if yes, please include them and clearly state that you do marketing based on social media and offline marketing such as client referrals. This is just an example.
Do you have a web or social media presence such as LinkedIn, Fiverrr or any other freelance market places?
Please also explain that the money you made is good enough for living

For the web designer part, can you provide web pages designed by you or even the source codes? Hope your company name/ your name is inscribed somewhere in it?
for banners or social media campaigns, at least a screen cap? Supplemented by the reference letters written by your clients, that should more or less suffice?
