Dear All,
Will highly appreciate if someone could provide suggestions.
Me and my wife received COPR before March 18, 2020 (where the travel restrictions start). We could not move earlier due to covid lockdown etc. Now, my wife is 7 month pregnant and baby is expected just one week after COPR expiry at the end of October. Moving now seems hard since we will not be eligible for health cover in Canada. Also, I raised a Webform and received a reply that you do not need to worry if you are unwilling or unable to travel. Just inform IRCC when we are ready to travel. Given these circumstances, I am not sure if IRCC will add the child after birth since the date of birth will after COPR expiry.
Thank you.

Hey, I think you should be fine, we are in a similar situation and trying to get some information from people here. I would say do not worry and once the baby is born just inform IRCC using the webform and they will give you options. I think the option would be to reopen your case, let you submit a child's documents, and if we are lucky they may not ask to do medicals again. So once the child document is added, you will again need to send the passport for COPR as the previous COPR will become invalidated. Altogether the process could take 6 months. Since this is Covid times I am sure they will be understanding the situation. We are in fact expecting the end of this year and our COPR expires Jan first week of 2021. We do not plan to take risk and travel during this time.

Thank you very much for the response. Actually my COPR expires end of October and delivery one week after that. I hope birth after COPR expiry will not be an issue. Wishing you all the best!!!
