The lack of AORs over the past few days is discouraging I wish CIC would just make a statement on just how backlogged they are, how many applications they're going through and what their plan is for tests. It's unfair for us to be left in the dark about our applications for so long
Facebook groups have been sharing the google sheets with members of this forum for years. I just started adding people to the citizenship spreadsheet this past year. And add the updates as I hear them for the FB group. Are their certain entries you are questioning?? I'd be happy to take a look.
EDIT-reviewed the 12 people I've added and all is up to date. Added an estimated delivery to one and one just had oath. Interested to know which are being questioned. Marcramo2017 was not added by me
We dont have any idea if there is any plan for cic to conduct test at this current situation. All are waiting to hear some plan from cic on conducting tests.
As many 2019 candidates are still waiting for test, we wont be expecting any test invite anytime this year but this year we would know how cic conducts tests for 2019 candidates this year and at that time we would get some idea about the wait time.
Seriously, How do these people work ??? How can somebody send his application in January and not receive at least an AOR and in the meantime you have couple March applicants getting theirs ???
We're in 2020 and they still don't know how get organized ? And why do we still send paper applications ?

Frustration is understandable and justified. However, they have no real need to fast track citizenship applications. 99% of the applicants are already in Canada and are employed and paying taxes. All of us already paid our application fees too. In terms of monetary benefits : Efforts, they have no incentives to fast track it.

AOR - March 6, 2020
In Process - August 26, 2020
Hello,
To those feeling down about the speed of processing, please don't worry. Couple of points to note:
1) The spreadsheet and online forum here reflects only a fraction of all applications being processed.
2) And among a host of other factors that influence timing, Location also makes a big difference. For example, a couple I know in Brampton faced only a 2 month wait to get an AOR last year (June-Aug 2019). Nonetheless, they still had to wait till August this year (2020) for their oath ceremony. The delay was due to Covid and probably the fact that one of them had to submit his fingerprints.
- Another friend of mine who stays in downtown Toronto submitted his application last year in January 2019 and got his AOR in August 2019. His oath ceremony took place in November 2019.
- Similar to his case, I live in Toronto as well, and here's my status this year: Application sent: Jan 23 2020; Application delivered: Jan 27 2020; AOR: August 27 2020
By comparison, a couple of Mississauga whose application was delivered on Jan 27 2020 too got their AOR back in July.
Hi all,
Did anyone get his application returned due to no name on back of photo? Even if it is for a single applicant, with no chance of confusion with other applicants?
Thanks
