yeah I understand.. working under financial institution is considered essential work in Ontario and they said they are prioritising those applications on IRCC. I checked with an agent as well so I thought I would try my luck! Fingers crossed.
It doesn't work that way. As long as you registered 3 courses (9 credits) in each semester, you're fine. Even if you failed any course, the grade of the failed course should still show up on the transcripts unless you dropped the course during the semester. Hope this helps.
Applied on may 16 without biometrics still waiting. I guess may applicats will be processed in September since presently they are processing feb applications

Ummm, that's weird. Can your friend request an enrolment letter that shows how many credits were registered for each semester? I can request this type of letter from my university.

I applied in April and no updates. Unfortunately, my employer ended my employment because of expired SIN, and in desperate need of a work permit to save my job.
Also I'm surprised about the 9 credit rule, I've never been below that but I thought IRCC didn't have a specific guideline when it comes to the minimum amount of hours for the course to be considered full time, I always believed that was up to the college.
It is, from the immigration website: "The definition of full-time or part-time varies depending on the educational institution. "
For example, for graduate students full-time can sometimes be just one class in a semester.
