What are the chances that the Canadian embassy has misplaced my “file”. As this has happened to couple of my known people who applied via sponsorship. Any idea how to know? Also, is the delhi embassy opened for visit??

The files are digital. There is no way of misplacing the files.

As this has happened to couple of my known people who applied via sponsorship.

Sponsorship files are still paper copies / hard copies so it's possible that they were misplaced.
