So I couldn't get an upfront medical, and last week I received the request for medical. I did it on Friday and now my application has been updated saying I passed the medical.
Yay, an update.
In normal times, how much time after a passed (requested) medical would you ideally get a decision?
My eligibility review started silently a month or so ago, but I'm still missing biometrics so I know I won' t get a full approval, just AIP.
When things were normal, you would get a decision anytime from two to four weeks after or longer but if the Visa application centre( VAC) in your country is opened....you might get it very soon..goodluck!

Congratz!
I may get a bad luck. Applied on may13, got request and completed biometrics, medical exam passed + eligibilty started on 20 june. Still waiting a change from then.
So 7 weeks with no update!
I applied on May 27th from Peru.
Received biometrics letter two days later, haven't been able to send them yet.
After that, I received a few ghost updates: my status changed from "your action is required" back to "submitted", even though I didn't send biometrics. And my eligibility review and background check started silently in June, I think.
I received the request for medical July 22, did the exam the 24th.
Passed medical exam July 31.
Received AIP August 4.
