My common law partner and I are nearly ready to send our application for inland spousal sponsorship, but I the open work permit pilot is only until July 31, 2020. Does this mean if our application arrives after July 31, the open work permit application won't be valid? If it arrives before, would that be okay?

I'm in the same situation too. I'm applying for PR + OWP for my spouse and will be sending the application via post in next 2 days. I'm hoping that if the application reaches them before july 31, they would still consider the application.
Hi, I am in the same situation.
Does anyone know when they usually announce about extend pilot system? because there're only 10days left and still no information of extending...
I am getting nervese...
Let begin, if you look for official announcement, you saw my link , title “Open work permit pilot program for permanent residence applicants in the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class (LMIA exemption code A70)”
Then, they mention that “Under this pilot program, applicants may apply for an open work permit with, or any time after, the submission of their application for permanent residence in the SCLPC class.”
