Ok nothing that shows Sydney is working.
Well at least there wont be a backlog at VOs (or less backlog) when Sydney processing begins thousands of apps God knows when.
I know someone whos april 2019 applicant n had jan 9 processing as well n got visa end of feb 2020 .. jst shows i guess some visa officers work faster than others ..
nope.. security chks is last step so background chks consist of criminality chks n security chks if u chk ur gckey acct it says background chks in process since the day u got Aor1 n criminality gets done at cpc sydney office mostly now n then after ur file transfers to london they process principal applicants eligibility n security chks n for some it can even take a year or more like ppl wait the most for security chks ...u can also order gcms notes n it will give u a break down what has started n what has been passed
Hey you seem to know your stuff.
Is it possible for Sydney to start processing Eligibility?
Cause they answered my inquiry:
"The responsible office is currently reviewing the application and documents submitted to determine if the applicant meets the eligibility requirements"
Next line says:
"The assessment for the applicant is still in process at the Centralized Intake Office".
Also:
"Criminality verifications are currently valid"
So Guys, after wait for more than 6 months, I just got an update on ECAS. LVO has added the golden line " We have started processing your application on July 20, 2020". Thanks to Almighty Allah that step of AoR2 completed. I wish and pray, everything will be fast and smooth ahead.

I have seen you sending message daily to different groups. Its still not even 1 year for your application and you are asking everyone for last few months (even before covid). Please be patient. Due to covid add 3-4 months. Sending messages to different groups won't get your application rolling. You need to be patient. In case you are so impatient to meet your wife, please apply for visit visa.
Technically you need to keep your timeline till March (exclude 3 months for covid from your processing time to be realistic). Need to remember that covid is a global issue and we need to refrain from blaming CIC on this.
My wife application is still in process (Feb-2019 applicant). It is frustrating but we also need to understand reality.

You are absolutely right, but I was wondering that my file was moved to LVO on January 13th, 2020 and LVO suspended it's work on March 23rd 2020. Almost two and half months had already passed before covid-19 and I didn't get anything. I visited many threads where applicants stated that they got their AoR2 after 15 days of file transfer. That's why I was worried. Thank God, finally the wait for AoR2 is over

How did you present your case for the visitor visa? What were your ties to Pakistan? Any previous travel history? How long did it take to get approved? Sorry for all the questions. Just curious.

its easy ... i applied as normal visa i.e. i will sponsor (showed proof that I will pay for her stay), a letter stating she wants to visit for few months till her application gets approved and she will go back within 6 months, a paragraph saying that I will be responsible that she will not overstay or work and I will abide my all Canada rules.
If you have come to Canada legally and have not taken any government benefits, then ur case is very simple ... make sure u attach all but relevant information and ts easy to understand i.e. bank statement, have a summary page, refer the accounts, add total amount etc so its easy for the officer to understand ...
visit visa gets approved within the timelines on their website (less time in winters and more time in summers due to high volume of applications) ....
my wife had nothing in her name i.e. home, plot etc but she had a job so I had attached her job letter. She had got her US visa refused which I also mentioned and the reason.
