Also, how do you people reach anyone in IRCC on the phone? The automated messages just kill me, make me wait and then after typing all the numbers, they just drop the call.

Even when primary applicant and accompanying applicants are within Canada some VOs like Ottawa still keeps case in Ready for Approval for past two months. That’s why I feel delay isn’t just border specific.

same situation, I am in Canada and case is ready for approval, vo Ottawa just don’t know what to do, they are just holding on to any Copr issued after March 18..

Mine is exactly the same! My visa office is Ottawa. Seems that maybe the number two means we are the second group/patch. TRG could be temporary resident group, test review group, teaching and research groups etc... Number 2 - you are probably correct. There is probably more than one group in this or other categories.

I was thinking whether TRG is Travel Restriction Group. Did you apply from outside Canada? Or is anyone - your spouse/kid outside Canada - even though they are not accompanying as per the PR application. This is my case so wondering this means something to do with border closure and travel restrictions.

LC doesn’t seem like letter of credit to me.

Temporary resident group is a possibility. Are you here in a work permit with LMIA?

Is Canada your country of residence in the client section of GCMS notes?

I have my Canada home address for address section. But country of residence is still listed as USA - that’s where I was when I applied.

If say they think we need to travel to Canada and are outside Canada then they may have us in a travel restriction group. Just guessing...

I have my Canada home address for address section too and country of residence is my home country. So I guess that's why I haven't heard from them... I really hope international travel opens soon. Or I could try to call them (but they never respond lol).

It's a good guess though. But they also know I have applied an extension to my visa, which means I am in Canada.

If people outside Canada also have this group then it may not be Temporary Resident Group.
