Student Permit Approval from UAE

Hi, my application status until now, states: Biometrics Completed. Does this mean it didn't even go to background check yet? Does anybody here has the same status? I applied for Fall 2020 and it seems that the visa application will not be processed soon. Shall I defer my admission?

What does it says on your back ground ? " we are processing your background" or your application is in process we will let you know when we start checking bg etc. ?

Based on the new announcement, any complete student permits will be given priority now. So as you have biometrics done, you may hear updates faster

Biometric completed 7th June
No update since then even eligibility review has not started.
Anyone in my same shoes

What does it says on your back ground ? " we are processing your background" or your application is in process we will let you know when we start checking bg etc. ?

It says “We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.”

Still no update until now. If you guys didnt receive any update for your visa before the deadline of tuition payment for Fall 2020 term (Aug 12) will you defer your admission to another term?

In my case, there is no deferral...I will lose admission and have to apply again for the next Fall...I have till 2 October

Same for me, the problem is that few people will get in this website and tell us that they received their approval. I just feel that we are in the middle of no where we only can be patient and wait, nothing to do more. I am also trying the words ( study permit ) in twitter to know what peaple are saying globally. I applied on 4th of june online from UAE for fall admission and my request got rejected twice through the last year. This is my last chance.

You can talk to your college/ university because normally those colleges/universities have no intake in January, are also facilitating the students by deferring them to Jan. You can just start from winter semester.
