Yes, you will be requested to give biometrics (they will send an email with this request in your cic account).

I'm not sure, I believe it was a change in the last year. I know that since last December, most applications (PR, Work Permit, etc..) will already require that you schedule and give bio-metrics after you send the application (you wouldn't wait for them to request it).

My timeline so far is as follows:
Got ITA on Nov 13th.
AOR on 10th January, 2020
Medical Passed: 24th January, 2020
Biometrics on 28th January, 2020
RPRF request 6th March, paid on 10th March, 2020.
As off today profile status is at 48%.

How long will it take from here?

Looks like you're EE. This is a paper-based thread. The timing of your stages are different and it brings confusion.

Hello Patel, we have similar timelines. My AOR is Feb 22, 2020, Outland Applicant.Let us just stay hopeful and stay safe.

Please, let us share experience. I did my Biometric enrolment on March 5,2020 and the biometric number is displayed in my GC Key.

However, under Application status in the same GCKey, the information is " We do not need your finger prints at this moment, we will send you a message if this changes". Do you have a similar experience? What is the implication ?Let's compare.Thanks.

Even i have given Biometrics on 24th Feb,2020 and the biometric number is displayed in my GC key on that day itself. However under Application status the messege is same as what it was before biometrics enrolment " We do not need your finger prints at this moment, we will send you a message if this changes". Kindly guide and share timelines. My application is showing 21 % completion. When we will get our Medicals?

Do you get an email from the department that receives the application or from your courier provider?.

I would also like to know this. I mailed my application on 14 April 2020 and made use of UPS.
According to them it was delivered (with signature) on 16 April 2020.
