The question was being asked because using welfare has a negative impact on H&C application. CERB is not welfare. It will be important for H&C applicants to return to working when possible. Not being a demand on Canada is one of the things that is looked at when applying for H&C.

As you can see the above letter for LOVE6784. It’s says that they received a correspondence on March 30th which means that the immigration is working . Pls don’t spread wrong info to people . It’s a bit heart aching for most of us

Nobody said they were not working just that they were working at reduced capacity and working from home is not possible in many circumstances. People should expect delays. We have no idea what the correspondence says.

if they need anything from you usually the contact you by mail email and phone it’s depending on officers

The call centre employees don’t know in detail what is going on. They may not even be in the same offices. As you said they have limited access to files and information at home. Maybe you misunderstood what the call centre agent was saying. Others have received the same response via email or by calling CIC and all of them have been told that employees are trying to work from home but are limited in what they can do and to expect delays.
