Hello Experts,

I just receive an email from CPC Mississauga. Below is what they sent to me exactly:

This letter confirms that your Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class was received
by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at the Case Processing Centre in
Mississauga on behalf of the following family member(s):

My father's name.


Please note that the following documentation will be required for your sponsorship
application to determine whether you meet the minimum necessary income requirements to
sponsor a parent or grandparent. In order to minimize processing delays, if not already included
in your application, please obtain and submit as soon as possible:

A completed and signed authorization form – IMM 5768 - Financial Evaluation for Parents
and Grandparents Sponsorship providing your Social Insurance Number.
o If you selected “Yes” to the Statement of Consent on this form and provided your
Social Insurance Number, you authorize IRCC to request information from Canada
Revenue Agency (CRA) in regards to your, or the cosigner’s (if applicable), income
tax information for the three consecutive years immediately preceding the received
date of your application.
OR
o If you selected “No” to the Statement of Consent on this form then you would need to
provide in addition, a completed form - IMM 5748 - Income Sources for the
Sponsorship of Parents and Grandparents and an original OPTION C-Printout
for the three consecutive years immediately preceding the received date of your
parents and grandparents sponsorship application. This document is not the same
as the Notice of Assessment and the Option C available on your My Account.
The Option C document is available free of charge by calling the CRA. To obtain this
document please call CRA at 1-800-959-8281.

Do I need to do anything cause I remembered I did include this form in the original package?

I got the same email today even though i submitted IMM5768 in October upon their request via email and later confirmed with them on phone that they got it. Don’t know why they are asking again. Should We send them these again? Please suggest

For those of you who have had to increase your family numbers due to the birth of a baby what was the process? I remember seeing some were asked to resubmit revised forms to show the increase in family numbers and income requirement but I can't seem to find that now. We're expecting in a few months and I wanted to be ready to know exactly what I need to submit so that I can proactively submit revised forms along with birth notification to IRCC. My mom's application has been on sleep mode in Mexico so I don't want to give them another reason to keep it asleep once things go back to normal. Thank you.

I have the same question. If ecase is "Decision made" for both SA and PA, does newborn will cause re-assessment of income requirement?

It does not matter newborns or not. If it is over 1 year since the date of your application and more information showing you may not meet income required (newborns, adoption, married,...). IRCC has the right to re-assessment your income and you will have to meet income your family size for the year baby born.

My mom's stay on Super visa about to expire in June and still Waiting on sponsorship decision.
Started to apply for extension but it asks to pass Biometrics.
So what gonna happen, we apply and the application will be on hold until my mom can pass biometrics or what?

Hi, my mom's case is the same. Her super visa expiring in June as well. So you are saying that the online extension application is asking for biometrics. Has her biometric expired? My mother's biometrics are valid till 2026.

My mom did not do biometric. She came to Canada when biometrics was not required
