March 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi I mailed my citizenship application mid Feb. It was delivered and signed according to Canada Post. Still haven't heard from CIC.gc.ca that they have started processing yet... anyone know how long it typically takes between delivery and them actually checking and starting the process?

The average to get AOR is 3 months, but it could be sooner. Some January applicants have already received theirs!

Hi All,

I just received an update from Canada post regarding the mail I sent to Sydney Nova Scotic CiC office. I am surprised that when I checked the signature receipt, some one signed it as Covid 19. Now I am in doubt in the office is close or not. I sent it to this address: 49 Dorchester

Same happened with me! But I sent my app to P.O. Box 7000 - Sydney, Nova Scotia

Canada Post is no more taking signature to avoid any possible spread of COVID-19. They are just putting a note to let everyone know why the signature was not taken.

January applications are receiving AORs at the moment. May be wait for one more month.

There is a chance that you may receive an update (AOR or returned app) in May. I wouldn’t expect any update in March or April - I could be wrong though.
