I figured I would post my husband’s timeline for spousal sponsorship/permanent residency, in the hopes it would help others who are in similar situations we were in.
I am sponsoring my husband who is Lebanese but resides in Lagos, Nigeria. Because of his residency our application is being handled by the Accra VO.
Submitted application: 23/02/2019
AOR: 25/02/2019 Biometrics request: 26/03/2019 -Note: we never received the letter for biometric request and there was no request on either ECAS or GCKey and on the proline is it said biometrics were not needed. There were no email, and no physical letter sent. But because I knew that biometrics were needed I contacted the VO and was told to submit biometrics at VAC Lagos on October 2, 2019. So please if after a month of submitting application you don’t receive the request for biometrics make sure to enquire Through webform about the letter. File Transferred to Accra: 27/03/2019 Sponsor Approval: 27/03/2019 Medical Request: 27/07/2019 Medicals Submitted: 08/08/2019 Medicals Passed: 10/08/2019 Biometrics submitted: 02/10/2019 PPR: 22/01/2020 - he submitted to Lagos VAC and did not need an appointment. Only his passport and photos we required. PP Submitted: 23/01/2020 Counterfoil/Approval: 05/02/2020
We are now waiting for his passport and CoPR to come to the VAC in Lagos for pickup so he can land soon!
This has been a long journey and hope that everyone hears good news soon.
God bless.
Waaaooo! Timeline dates is almost just as mine. Did my medicals on appointment Feb 24, and paid the RPRF per request Mar 6. Hoping to get a decision made now till 19 of this month, based on the RPRF request letter.
I'm pleased to say my husband just picked up his passport in Accra. Thanks for all your help. I pray that all your applications will go through smoothly. God is good!
Yayyyy Praise God! We finally got my husband’s passport back with the counterfoil inside and the copr! Now we will prepare for his landing. We submitted the passport on Jan 23. Counterfoil put in passport and approval received on Feb 5. Passport ready for pick up Feb 12 at Lagos VFS.
God bless everyone still in the process!
I’ll advise you give them a call or go on their website and track it, also they have a live chat section where u can inquire about your passport and from what I’ve read on here they hardly tell u your passport is ready for pick up, u have to be the one to call and inquire about it I’ll drop the link below that takes you straight to their track your application page

Hi guys, I'm so glad to be here in this forum, & I've been enjoying the information regularly shared here.
Congratulations to all those that have gotten their Visas or PPR, & I wish the best for all of us still in the process as we wait patiently.
I am 6 months into my application, & I know it usually take a year for the process. But I have got responses that suggests that I should be getting a decision made between now & March 19.
Please take a look at my timeline. What do you think, guys: "Do I have a genuine reason to think that a decision will be made so soon?"
• Application submitted in July 2019
• AOR on Aug 26, 2019
• Medicals request on Feb 4, 2020
• Pre-arrival letter on Feb 12, 2020
• RPRF request letter on Feb 20, 2020 [asked to pay within 28 days, stating that final decision within this time]
• Medicals done on Feb 24, 2020
• Medicals updated in March 2, 2020 or so
• RPRF paid in March 6, 2020.
We go married in March 16, 2019 [last year]. "Should I think that we will be having an anniversary gift from IRCC in the form of a PPR?"
