Hello Everyone.

I just wrote my citizenship test at IRCC Edmonton to which I passed 20/20. Even though at the beginning out passport were verified and the invite letter. After the test, identification was checked and the officer just said congratulations you have passed this stage. The next stage would be to invite you for an oat ceremony.
I had no interview and no document were verified. Is this right? Am I to be worried? I have just travelled out of Canada.

Also, any idea how long before ecas is updated about decision made?
i appreciate any response.

Please contact IRCC after 3 weeks of the submission of FP by RCMP. What was the return address mentioned on the FP Request? CIC Sydney or Vancouver?

Ok thanks. Return address mentioned on FP request is of CIC Sydney.

Then it will be 3 weeks minimum as CIC Sydney will send your FP to Vancouver.

You are checking your ECAS/Mail right? Some of the people in this forum received another FP request from IRCC Vancouver

How’s the timeline for Sydney Office?

Yes many and many of them directly from IRCC Vancouver.

As from the feedback, people who have received FP request from IRCC Vancouver can get their FP acknowledgement from CIC within 2 weeks, from those who received from CIC Sydney - it may vary from 2 to 3 weeks. I myself have spoken to CIC Agent and they said all FPs are processed at IRCC Vancouver

@sylvain1 I have received my FP request on Feb 12th and completed it on the 14th. Thank you for all your hardwork in maintaining the sheet.

I called IRCC got connected in 7 minutes. They confirmed that the status for FP is changed to in process which indicates that RCMP must have sent them the letter and is in transit.
He also asked me to send a Web form with the FP receipt, which will indicate my local office and they will update me once they have the results.

ok thanks twrooney. Yes, I am checking my ECAS/Mail regularly. So incase we get another FP request from IRCC Vancouver do we need to do Finger prints again ?

Hello, I got FPR from Sydney office and submitted it on 29 Jan 2020 and RCMP mailed it on 4 Feb 2020. Can you please share your time lines ?

Have been seeing a lot of folks getting FP request. But I havent received any such request, my file has been "In Process" since Dec 23, 2019.

P.S. I did my FP during PR application back in January/February 2016 though.

Test passed, officially a citizen.

FP results sent by RCMP on Feb 5. I received 2nd FP request on Feb 13. Called IRCC helpline and the agent confirmed they received FP results on Feb 11. Asked me to ignore 2nd request. Hopefully that dsnt add more time to my processing.
