hello, I am a Canadian citizen by birth. I am trying to sponsor my long time girlfriend as common law through family class. Would you be able to help clarify how to correctly fill out the forms? She was married to a third party but legally separated, she also has two children age 8 and 10 who will not be coming with her to Canada initially at least.

Should she answer common-law? (since we're currently in a common law relationship living together 7 years)
or separated (from her prior marriage)
