Hi people I am new in this forum I need some advice I have be ask to attend interview but the VO did not ask me to bring any documents can some will help me with advice I am the applicant spousal Application pls see below request from VO.

Dear Applicant,


An interview is required in order for us to assess your application for permanent residence to Canada and to determine whether you are able to meet the criteria for admission to Canada in the category in which you have applied. You are invited to attend an interview at the date, time and place indicated above.

I would say bring all the proofs you can gather (if they can be in the language of the VO itself , not needing translation) that are "extra" means not yet evaluated, just in case :Recents converations , proofs of contacts (visits boarding passes, letters) and so on. Don't present them unless you are asked but bring them as an supplementary help. Is what i would do.

Can take days or months. My case took 2 months to get PPR after pre arrival

Lol ugh... not super encouraging.

Hope it won't be this way in my case. 2 months after Eligibility, that really make the process longer and i am yet at almost 11 months

In December 2018 thread a guy got a pre-arrival in April but no PPR yet since the applicant is going through the security check. So even pre-arrival is generally a good sign, it doesn't really mean the process is over.

... ugh that's def not helping lol but ty.

I hope mine will be almost over at the end of the 12 months but i'm not counting on it much, seems Mexico is overfilled and they do nothing about it.

We have applied for spouse visa on Feb 8 2019 , we have done medical on March , we have got an email saying that the application for PR has been forwarded to visa office on October, biometric done on Novemeber and after few days they have asked us to provide and download to our account the communication proof , pictures, Bill receipt and we did the same on 1st week of December, however we haven't got any reply since. Kindly advise me what's the next step and how much time is left . Thank you so much

I would send them a message (to VO) via Webform to confirm reception of the documents at least so your case is not put on stand by cause of this and that you guys have provided all they needed.

Does anyone know when theyre working on the PA file, how far in do they do background checks and security checks roughly ?
like for example they received the PA’s file in November, and the other processed start when?

Rumors say (not confirmed) if they do a real deep background check, it takes 9-18 months.

No, I meant when do they start the security and background check roughly. Like 2 months after receiving the application or 4 ? Longer?

Do u have gckey do u check ur application online if u do it should say there if they r working on ur background check and since when they started ?
