All visa always valid for one year. why are yours 4 months?

Some people in this forum said that it depends on the validity of medical exam.
Personally I'd no idea
How do they send the AOR?

You should count 22 months from application received date, not from AOR.
Your process actually goes quite fast, already received and did your medicals.
My colleague who send her papers on 27 AUG called yesterday the immigration and they told her that they forgot to send her the letter of AOR and she has to be ready to wait minimum of 2 years for DM. They found her by name, she couldn't enplane me exactly how.
Thanks a lot,
and could you please provide me contact details of the immigration intake centre

It is nice that they decreased the processing time by one month. It was 23 and now it is 22 months.
I think that has happened because recently they gave DMs to many people who are still in their first year.
Even some 2019 applicants get their DMs. I saw a guy here who got DM in his 8th month or a guy without sending his PCC.
I am happy for them. I hope they don't give these early DMs to balance processing time. I hope this decrement will continue.
When I sent my files to IRCC in December 2018, processing time was increased from 17 to 18 months.
Besides, as I mentioned before, the federal quota levels will increase around %10 in 2020.
This may decrease the processing time to 20 months by itself.
Btw, I started to see the percentage of remaining estimated processing time, that's another thing that they've implemented.
Hello,
could you please tell me how do you see the percentage of remaining estimated processed time (I sent my docs in August 2019 and didnt even get my AoR). This will be of great help.
Thanks,

Thanks,
After you get AoR, you will be able to track your application online via IRCC account and able to see the estimated remaining time.
Don't worry, just wait. You will get your AoR in short period of time.
Thanks a lot,

Did you call IRCC ? If you are calling from India, use Skype or Google Voice & call at EST morning times to get hold of an IRCC representative. Some reps are pretty much useless, but some are extremely helpful. If you feel the first rep was not helpful, trying calling next day & hopefully you will get someone who can help you about your case.

I still can't figure out from where to start counting.. Application received date or AOR..?

@dearmilkyway has clearly stated "You should count 22 months from
application received date, not from AOR."
