I read the experience of someone in a similar situation as you on another thread. What he did upon receiving COPR (whilst in Canada) was travel to the the US and back via Niagara to Land. He applied under FSW-O stream. I don’t know what the Landing requirement is for FSW inland and CEC so I can’t say if traveling out and back to Canada is required to Land.

Thanks for this! I was more so thinking if I don't have my COPR before I come back in... if I'm still waiting for the golden email. I wouldn't have a valid work permit or COPR, so I guess I would just be coming in as a tourist? But wouldn't they want to see a leaving date at the border? (flying in to Seattle anyways)

Hey everyone! My AOR is 5 May, 2019, and still waiting. I am currently living here on a 2 year WP with the exception that I have to work for a specific employer. I was just laid off though... I know I don't have to inform CIC because everything is locked on the application date, however, I am due to go home for Christmas. If I don't get PPR before I leave (Dec 20), can I return when I am scheduled to come back (Jan 6)? Can I come in on a tourist visa? (Irish passport). Thanks in advance!

Shouldn't be a problem! I did the similar thing in 2011, I was here for University Placement (internship IEC), my visa was only for 4 months! I activated my tourist visa (Drove to Detroit for an overnight stay) and lived here for another 3 months! Just ring CIC mate....

Fill out a web form after 6 months mark. Ask specifically about background check status and Visa office details.

Has anyone gotten updates on the steps (i.e. eligibility, criminality, and security) and information on their VO via webform for their application?

I ask for that specifically, but the response was general and said that my application is still being processed and no additional documents were required for now.

Or do they just give you this information if you call the hotline?

Hello,
Can anyone please guide me. After receiving COPR; it says we have to upload the copy of our passport pages and a copy of the COPR email. Where do I upload it? As in the cic account it is still showing ‘ your application is being processed etc etc’
We don’t require visa to travel to Canada as we are British citizen.
Any help would be appreciated it.

Got the same thing for my account.

But the status didn't change from Submitted to Updated for Application Status, i think that's what signifies a ghost update.

The same thing happened to me too. At the same time, status also changed from submitted to application/profile updated. Does that mean a ghost update?

I have a doubt here...Do we get mail if the status gets changed...What I am thinking is if there is any kind of change in the application we receive a notification in the mail...Let me know because its a big hell whenever I try to login it takes lot of time and every time the home page appear again I have to give credentials every now and then..So do we have to login everytime to see the ghost update or do we get the notification to our mail...
