Hey there everyone, i'm new to this forum, i've mostly been using the french forum but no one puts their dates there so i thought i would give this a try! I'm almost at the end of my husband's PR application as we received a decision made notification yesterday morning. After a long wait of 19 months, finally my wife became permanent resident. Both of us were following this thread and I thought it would help folks out there, with the time line.

So today we received an email inviting us to present ourselves at the Montreal office to get our PR card! We did not receive the confirmation of permanent residency yet so I just wanted to make sure we could still go tomorrow without this document. We have everything else they are asking and I know plenty of people who have never received this document and shower up and still got their PR card. Am I right in this assumption?
Hi, I’m October 2nd 2018 applicant no DM yet. I saw that you letf Canada for a few days while waiting for your PR, being here with the OWP. How was it to re-enter Canada? When the machine asked for how long you would stay here, what did you put and what did you select for purpose of your visit? Did you show the OWP even if not valid for re-entry to the officer?
Thank you in advance!

Ok! So my husband is a permanent resident of Canada as of today! We went in to the interview at 7:30 am today and they gave him his confirmation of residency. The interview was very brief and the agent was very kind. She only asked us a few questions, mainly to him such as are you planning on leaving the country in the next month, have you ever been convicted or charged with a crime and do you have children now. The whole process took 30 minutes, fastest part of this entire process. All we are waiting for now is the PR card, should not take too long.
Hey Guys .... I landed yesterday !!! June 6th applicant from Montreal !! Goodluck to those of you still waiting ! It took 16 months ( stress free ) . Thanks to all who shared their time line
We put down the days remaining until the expiration of my husband's work permit. For purpose, I don't remember the exact wording of the options, but we said work I believe.
