@cansha ...I request you to provide your inputs here please.
My AOR is 26-Feb-2019 and am FSW Inland applicant. I received ghost update on 25-November-2019 morning, but after that no updates. I am on visitor visa now in Canada(PA in Express entry Profile) and my husband who is the dependent in my case got his work permit approved on 28-November-2019. My visitor visa expired on 30-November-2019 and I did applied for the extension of the same. Now, my question is should I wait to get my visitor visa extension or I can apply for spousal work permit on the basis of my husband or shall I wait for the final decision of PR application?
has any May applicant got any update/PPR from Montreal Visa Office?

I think you need valid status in Canada before you can apply for open work permit based on your spouse's status. So you would need extension on your visitor Visa.
Hi All,
This is my timeline

Called IRCC they said Eligibility passed.

By chance does anyone know how much time it takes from eligibility to initiate/complete Background.

Eligibility passed in 2 months at Montreal? That is the quickest I have seen in Montreal in long time unless your eligibility was done in Ottawa and then file moved to Montreal. Montreal takes on an average 8 months to issue PPR.
Hi,
@cansha Will check with them again and will update you regarding if the file is moved from Ottawa vo. I remember the agent saying your file is now in Montreal(Maybe she mean it moved from somewhere else ).

Thanks for your reply
@cansha ...I have no other option than to wait.
@cansha checked with the agent she said eligibility is recommended pass(not passed). I believe passed and recommended pass are completely different and background check is initiated and security is not started. She mentions security is the last step.
I had raised a webform and got the following response:
"We verified the information you provided and can confirm that a decision has been made on your application . Rest assured that the responsible officer will inform you by email or mail to provide you with the decision."
What should i expect??

Yep I also was referring to "recommended passed" stage. In the past they used to pick file in 4/5 month to do that. So you are extremely lucky if your eligibility was tested so quickly at Montreal
