Everthing else seems to be good. I think it might be a large sum of around 10K Cad my wife got for her maternity leave(it's the average salary multiplied by 3 months of the leave). But we have explained it in our LOE. but with or without that sum we still have enough for the minimum criteria

I am in a similar situation. Sent them the latest 6 months statement and they have acknowledged as well. But no movement anyways.
You can send the statement, it may expedite the process.

Hi Everyone. I have been a silent reader for exactly an year now. I am an Indian residing in Saudi Arabia and had applied exactly an year ago, on November 30, 2018. In this past one year the only communication I received from IRCC was a request letter for Saudi PCC in the month of January 2019. After that event nothing has happened. An auto change in my medical status happened on October 10, 2019 and it changed to not required. The medicals were an year old by then. I haven't received any remedical request. I wrote to the office of the Immigration Minister in July, and in September received a reply from his office confirming the presence of my application in London office. They wrote it was undergoing statutory background checks back then. I had also written to London office the same day and received a reply from them around the end of September. They sent me a single line email saying my application is awaiting review by an Immigration Officer. Over this past year I have gone through the CIC page on a daily basis. Now I feel like I have reached a dead end. How does one make sense of anything that's happening or not happening. Is this a vindictive behavior because of my ethnicity, religion or some other reason. Or as I want to believe it's just incompetence on part of the agency.

Nothing to do with your ethnicity, religion or region. You can say it's simple incompetence of the agency. There are many people in a similar situation from every possible background. The number of applications have increased manifold but my guess is the workforce in IRCC ha not increased in same proportion. Having said that even with their current resources one can hazard an educated outside observation that they could possibly utilize their current resources better and be little more efficient to bring some respite to many who are waiting patiently for a long time. But sadly that"s not the case. So, yes it is difficult to make any sense out of the delays but one thing is almost certain that it has nothing to do with the factors you mentioned.

As I said I'm more inclined to attribute these delays to incompetence than malfeasance. Either ways it is a punishment for me. I seem to be stuck in the corner of some officer's computer.
Hi @Pura Vida Glad to hear!!!!! Many congratulations!!!! I was in Hawaii without accessing the Forum, hope you enjoy your next steps in Canada!! If you come to Vancouver give me a buzz and let's enjoy some snowboarding some day, the season is about to start! Congrattssssss!!!

It seems like a large majority of delays are because the application was sitting idle, awaiting review, for really long periods of time. And not because of anything that had to do with the application itself, such as undergoing additional checks or whatever.
And it'd be better if they said outright that this is the case, and not keep parroting the same line about how 80% of apps are approved in 6 months, and the rest are "complex" cases. I don't think the 80% figure has been true in a long time either.
Anyway, I'm ranting because I'm in a similar situation.
I have no idea, it doesn't say anything in the GCMS notes.
No gift deed or anything like that. I had a large sum of money deposited into the account once our child was born, but that is just the money for my wifes maternity leave(you usually get your average salary multiplied by 3 months of the leave)
But we have explained it in a LOE.
Or maybe it's because the account shows nore funds than we initially stated in the the EE profile

I’m just worried that it doesn’t take another year of waiting as they don’t give us a definite timeline; the waiting seems so uncertain. I want to try and forget that I ever applied and make different plans. I never thought it’ll be such a bad experience.
