Thank you so much! Another concern of mine is that they asked my employer "Is your employee on the same visa?" What is this supposed to mean? Am i on the same work permit or dod they mean to ask if im still working with that employer
Yea that’s a weird one, not sure what they mean. Did you have more than one work permit in the past ? Like did you renew it? I don’t think it’s related to being with the same employers. If you are with the same work permit since the beginning, perhaps it’s just a standard question they ask all employers.

I really do hope so. Its been bugging me all day. My employer simply replied saying they should ask me that. I dont know if he did the right thing. I asked a few people who applied the same way and none of their employers recieved any calls. Perhaps I'm overthinking. And yes, i do have two work permits. The second one is valid until march 2020.

Yeah I know that feeling, but I believe it’s nothing to worry about, rest assured. When I was a student I had applied for a work permit too and they called the employer who had given me an offer and asked all sorts of weird question. At the end it was approved so all went well. If you’re curious about the insights of your application, request for GCMS notes through the official government website. It’s only 5$ and you’re eligible to apply for it yourself since you’re also here in Canada physically. Cheers and rest assured, all should go well.

Does that do anything to your application process and Have you used that service?
Its so reassuring to talk to someone that i can relate to. Thank you for replying

It does not affect badly your application. Yes, I requested it about a week ago and am waiting for it to be sent (it takes 30 days). My pleasure to help, I definitely know what it feels like being in this situation. Search for GCMS notes on the forum to get some more info about it. I will let you know when I have updates-hopefully PPR- so you know what to expect. Cheers !

Since my application started in april 2018, i guess i should receive PPR before 23 months which is before March 2020 right?
I think we should start counting from the moment of AOR
Hello,
I'm wondering what's happening with my AOR? I applied August 6, 2019 and it hasn't yet arrived. Time to get alarmed or call cic?

Same here. My application was delivered on Aug 16 and still no news from them.

My AOR was in june 2018.. so 23 mnths from AOR should be may 2020.
As my medical is already expired in oct 2019, i should expect to have remedical before may 2020.. oh still long way to go

Your 23 months process starts from the time they receive your complete application, not from the AOR.

Hope you get your medical soon. I got my medical early, so it expired early and i have got to do it again. Sometimes its not good to receive medicals early because i think they wait for the whole 23 mnths for the process..

That's better . So its should be before 2020 then...

Any input appreciated.
I have been told by the agent over the phone that my security check and background check are completed and the only remaining puzzle is doing my medical again as the previous one is expired. So far, i am waiting for 3 weeks to receive the re-medical documents. Any idea of how long longer should i wait?
