IRCC had publicly notified that their online services were down yesterday, i.e. November 5, 2019. Though they were restored later. Mostly likely the disappearing of the status bar, which anyway was useless seems to be a tech issue or an upgrade coming soon.

You tagged me by mistake instead of @Clemency30. I/m sorry, but I don't know the answer to your question. Basically, you check your account religiously once daily and you might see that your "Current status" might say "Application/profile updated", but you don't find any new messages.
