I only have my matriculation certificate with me, No votercard, no aadhar card because I am Canadian Citizen now. Do you suggest sending my canceled Indian passport(Canceled after acquiring Canadian Citizenship) which has name of my mother on it.

As said, send whatever shows your and PA's name on it (including old passport) and provide an explanation letter for any missing doc.

I know your file was being processed at CPC-M. Are your Parents currently living with you in Canada? or they are abroad ?
In you PPR email did CIC asked you to submit you parents passport to Ottawa (Only) or both Ottawa & your back home both ?

How do people receive updates from IRCC? I guess it is by email? We created an account and try to link the file to the account. If I did not receive the email for update, does it mean that there is actually no application to link to?

No, I just received medical request for PA & Dep at my cic gc key account.
