Hi.. if LVO is doing eligibility and background check then it may take longer.. eligibility is the most critical part of the process where they investigate about genuineness of the marriage
Not to sure .... and also I said as per the agent eligibility will be determine in lvo background check is starting at the very first step in spouse sponsorship now not after the file gets transfer

Well in that case how come Sydney is doing most of the work.. what i have understood by going through this forum is LVO gives a hard time with relationship even if its genuine.. their certain way of evaluating a relationship differ from the perspective of our cultural and religious views. I wish as per your post if it would have been last stage for everyone with PPR..many of us are suffering unnecessarily..This can be much improved and transparent for the client
Hello friends and admin' could you please let me know that which Canada visa application require IELTS. I am from Pakistan.
Your assistance will be appreciated.
Thanks
Yes, exactly this question I have in my mind that what LVO is left to do with the application as I have the following status without the file transfer to LVO.
We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
June 28, 2019 You passed the medical exam.
We have received the additional documents you provided.
You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.
We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

From where you get this information ? my spouce application status doesn't show the detail like this. is there any other site for check the status besides Cic?
I hope everyone is doing great. I am a Permanent Resident and about to get married in Pakistan. I have the following queries:
1)Apart from getting my Spouse's Police Clearance Certificate from Pakistan, getting the MRC , and 20 photos taken at different places at different times , rukhsati , valeema, nikah pictures. What else should I note down in the list while being in Pakistan , so that I should be able to apply for the spousal immigration, right after coming back to Canada ?
2) Do I need to attest the MRC from anywhere ? Also, do I need to get the English translation of the Urdu Nikah Naama ?
3) Do I need to open a joint bank account for myself and my spouse ?
4) At this point of time, I am not working. So would it be a problem in sponsoring my spouse ? Someone told me if I have some funds in my Canadian bank account , then it should be fine. If so, then what balance should I maintain ?
5) Under the documents checklist, I have to provide Both of the below following documents out of four:
(a) Important documents for you and your spouse showing that you are recognized as each other’s spouse (such as employment or insurance benefits).
(b) Documentary evidence of financial support between you and your sponsor, and/or shared expenses.
I am confused , like what documents shall I provide to satisfy the above 2 points ?
6) Do I need to apply for my spouse's Smart NICOP ( showing mine and my spouse's temporary address same )
7) Also, I would be renewing my NICOP ; since I am a permanent resident of Canada as well, I would be changing the country of Stay as Canada, but do I need to add my Canadian address under the temporary/permanent address in NICOP ?
Also, please do provide your valuable suggestions/advices , that I should follow in order to get my spousal's case successful.
Thanks a lot for sparing you time..

To me yes, since I got pre arrival one month after file was transferred to London and ppr after 3.5 months. London is overloaded with work and since more now done in Sydney, means London can give better results. Not for everyone of course... because some people need interview or pfl or they have extended background check... but mine total took 12 months and hope for others won’t take too long either!!!!!
