I really hope that it is true that they extend medicals/send re-medical when the file is almost close to PPR and not in case to just buy in more time & delay the application
Keep trying.. The moment I heard the "high volume.." recording, I dropped the call, called back right away and got through. It's just a matter of chance I think, just like everything else with IRCC..
@capricorn7 for sure they'll get to your file within the next month.. it looks like they're working hard to clear the January batch, especially Sydney!
Don't get too obsessive over it Checking twice a day won't really give you noticeably different results.. I'd say, at most keep it to once a day, maybe less Keep busy elsewhere. I stopped checking for weeks, then suddenly tuned in and was pleasantly surprised!
4-5 times is pretty decent. Have you spent the entire day dialling without luck till you slept off and resumed the following day? That's what dingtone did to me last week as TextNow doesn't work in my country.
Talk about being frustrated....last week was my breaking point! No GCMS/ADR/PFL/Ghost/PPR and on top of that i couldn't make a simple phone call to them

I am still having patience to wait so never tried so many attempts to call. One reason to that is in my last couple of calls to them in September, the agents were pretty generic in their response and couldn't help much. So I did not call them since beginning of October

Yes buddy I am not too worried about it. I am optimistic after seeing progress in Sydney office and also its festive time, so I have a positive mindset
Since it is quick to access the portal, I am checking and it takes longer to call IRCC/wait for notes, I am not going after that now

Mine expires in 86 days though but I haven't gotten any re-med request or extension.
I think it's 60 days to expiration because most of the guys receiving re-med are people whose medicals expire between now and December.
I may be wrong though......IRCC loves playing games. Lol
Congratulations. But it is very strange that they did not send email to you. Its better if they would have uploaded the PPR confirmation in the portal itself.
