Is biometrics mandatory for PR? If so how to do it. Thanks in advance.

I received my ITA on 2nd October.one of my friend who got his invite 6 months ago haven't undergone biometrics. So bit confused now.

after last draw I am broken like many of us.I was waiting for my employer to file lmia but cant rely on that now. I am going to appear in celpip every week. Any celpip guy here who want to share his experience. I want clb 10 or atleast 9.

One more thing justin trudue kept his promise upto 92% so he is still having good chance of getting elected again. I hope they will make 3300 ITA regular to 3900 Regular from next year as they promised ro have 400K immigrants per year.

I almost don't believe your friend

Even the people who I know submitted their application around end of 60 day submission period get request to submit biometrics in 2 months..

So this is how it works (as far as I know).. They send you a biometrics instruction letter, commonly known as BIL as soon as your medical examinations are passed (often known as MEP).. One has to take BIL to VAC (Visa application centers) to submit biometrics

PS: I assume you are applying from outside Canada and USA
If you are in Canada, you may not need to submit biometrics
If you are in USA, VACs are known as something else but the process is same..

*ALSO* Go for upfront medicals and submit your application as soon as possible..

I've just noticed that there is no option to add information about children in express entry. It's a bit strange, don't u think?

Also, how many draws are left for 2019? Any thoughts? 4 or more?

Well 1 invitation does not equal one immigrant. There are some people that have spouses or children. So sometimes it is just 1 person and sometimes there are 4 or 5. So the average family size is mabye around 1.4 for express entry.
Also there are not all PNP that uses Express entry and for some it will not be possible. That is for those special ones for provincial graduates (Ontario or BC have such streams). For this year app. 1/3 of all PNP were supposed to use EE.
And of course PNP also do have families.

I get the logic now. However, PNPs never made such a huge impact until last year.

Not really, it’s usually added post ITA. Plus we can’t say with certainty how many draws are left. Only CIC has that info.

Well, I don't see a reason not use uppercase. Anyways, I went through this previously but there seems to be some confusion regarding city to city PCC in some other forums.

PNP started with a measly 9 % for Express entry for the first year. Now we are at app. 33% that is 3.5 x increase compared to 2016. And when you take into account increase of total amount of PNP, it is more like 4x.

For this year, every 2 weeks app. 500 ITA should go to PNP applicants.

This is very helpful, thanks. I myself am in the same position. According to my calculations my 3years experience will be completed in Jan, however I am sure my score will increase earlier. I have been calculating over and over again to see when I can accept an ITA.

Yes you can accept it in December and start the process then just submit your application after completing 3 years of work experience. I confirmed it with CIC myself and they said it is perfectly fine to do so.

Biometrics are valid for 10 years once done. Your friend might be in Canada itself or previously did it for any other type of visa. @Ray of hope
