Of course not. Canada is not a country that forces women to change their names when marrying.

I recently got PR but in application i had mentioned that spouse and kid are not accompanying. Is there way i can still take them with me may be on visitor visa and then sponsor them?

If they have TRVs, they can come to Canada as visitors and you can sponsor them. Otherwise, you need to sponsor them from their country.

As a PR, you are required to live in Canada throughout the sponsorship process.

Have you applied yet ?
They will assess your eligibility in terms in terms of financial assessment if you are the sponsor.

In your previous post, you said you got PR. You need to be clear about your situation. You didn't get PR, you got your COPR and have yet to land.

They can't apply for a work visa and study visa. They can apply for TRVs to come as visitors but given the fact that you declared them non-accompanying, I'd day there is little chance of approval.

Yes you are right. I got my COPR and not PR. why you think they may not get the TRV? is there any restriction?

Because they clearly aren't genuine visitors. They want to stay in Canada.
