I completed one year this August 31st and called them on Sept 3rd. They made a note and I was hoping that my file would now be expedited. Three weeks later, no updates. I called them again and they said the expedited ones after one year could take up to a month!
If it takes longer than a year and yours is NOT a non-routine application, you can also involve your MP and see if you can get any info through them. You can also order GCMS notes to see what's been going on with your application.
All,
I just want to post an update for information. My husband - an October applicant had his interview yesterday, ahead of me as an August applicant. He was age exempt from the test. His interview was short and he was asked questons about whether he had a job, whether he had family in Canada and whether he is awaiting any police actions. In addition they asked about his physical presence absences. All was OK and he has been given his Oath Ceremony on Friday at the same location. He was handed a form to take to that event. He took more documents with him than he needed (just in case), like his latest police check etc but they were not needed. He was asked to show only his UK passport, his PR Card and on arriving he showed them his care card as entry ID. He was not asked for anything else. Others may have a different experience, for example I have mine this week and I may also have a different experience to my husband, it is all down to the officer on the day. I have posted this as I think it can be helpful to have as many examples as possible to help those still waiting. Good luck to all with your process, we are all cheering you on.

I suggest send them query through web portal, I received test invitation within 4-5 days of my query but it should be after 12 months not before that. I have received test invitation and web portal reply on same day. FYI

Well done, at last you have reached the test invite stage. Spreadsheet updated and wishing you luck. Othhers previously have posted the following information, I hope it helps.

As an update. I had my interview today and mine was a different experience to my husband. Firstly, it was incredibly busy, but thankfully I only had to wait 50 minutes to be seen. The officer wanted to see all of my ID's, care cards, PR cards, driving licence and overseas passports. He asked me very similar questions to that my husband had been asked.
Overall the actual interview was fairly short but I notice that others were much longer. My interview finished at 9.45 am today and I was asked to attend my Oath ceremony at 12.30 pm this afternoon. So my journey has reached its end. I wish all fellow applicants success and speed in their own process. Everything finally reaches a conclusion, so for those still waiting, keep faith you will eventually reach the end of your journey. In the meantime, keep sending through those updates on progress so that we can all share in and celebrate your achievements.
Please update the August 2018 Spreadsheet as below:
Row# 130 (SamikMallik)
Test Invite Letter - 26-SEP-2019
Test Date - 15-10-2019
Question: We are expecting a baby and as of now the due date is 18-OCT-2019. What do you guys suggest - should we keep the test and explain later if my wife goes to labor or should we just reschedule? But rescheduling the test might push the process for another 4-6 months. Our processing has already passed one year. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
