but I was been proactive to understand the process for an specific country and how long it would take, and them i got stuck with this question

I’ll need it from Spain for my parents and i saw on cic’s website that they say if its a digital copy then need the legalization.
But i will ask my parents to get it from Spain, which i believe won’t need to be attested.
I remember few years back, I got mine and never got it attested.
Also, I asked this on twitter and they said only translation is required.

So, i think it would be same for Swiss. Check the details on cic’s page for country specific requirements.

Unfortunately it's not clear on the website if we should send an "attested" version or not
On the other hand, the swiss web site says that most of the consulate/foreign govt require the attested one and hence the question

CIC website referring to swiss website. You can draw your conclusion from there.

You said you got the AoR. It's probably in process since. What's your mycic/ecas saying

When we check cic’s website for police certificates, there is an option to chose the country.

Hello everyone,

My application reached on 3rd June. Ecas was updated about 10 days ago and it shows the status - Application received. However, I have not received any email with AOR yet. Anyone in the same boat? I am a bit concerned as it seems June 3 applicants already received their AORs. Also, when I try to link my application in myCIC, it is not able to find the application information.

mine is the same. I am not sure what's going on with June applicants. seems like sending AOR became slow after. I am unable to link my application as well.

I did enter all my one parent application under my account. is that right or should I use her account?
-Open my GIC account
-Link Application
-Enter all information about my mom under General Application form
-Number of applicants should be? = 3 [Sponsor + Sponsor's spouse + mom]

No, even i sent a request to update my parents home address to a new address in back home.
Its been more than a week. They didn’t change the address.
And rest remains the same “in process since aug 08”

Mine is Mississauga. It is because, I am in Canada and I am also my parents representative.

i am on the same boat.. my parents left for India a week ago.. just waiting for AOR to update the india address..


I think my app is pretty much similar to yours..

Hi,
Linking your application is not a requirement, its just for your convenience. You can still check your status under mycic. Its updated daily. Its totally normal to have difficulty in linking an application. If you really want to link application then you have to fill webform under technical issues and attach screen shot of what you are filling in your application. Someone will contact you in a week.
