My inland application was received on 27th June. And I received my application number exactly after 6 weeks. Do you have any info on when they would be sending the medical request? And did you also submit your OWP application along with it? Ta

I didn't got the medical request yet. I already have work permit till 2020 I just applied for Permanent residency.

Husband submitted his Canadian police clearance with the initial application and then they requested his Turkish one. We sent the translated version only and then about a week later the CIC officer actually called him and explained they need the original copy as well. We sent that right away to an email they provided and got “decision made” earlier this week!

Did you check what is on ecas? No file transfer yet? I am November 7 and had file transfer in July 4. And in August 12 biometrics request...

My husband submitted the application to Sydney, Nova Scotia. I don't think there will be a landing interview. My friend who just petitioned her husband did not undergo interview.

Everyone gets an interview when they land either its inside Canada if the principal applicant is inside Canada or at the border when the principal applicant they first enter or flagpole, it's not really a formal interview, it's just to confirm identity and ask couple of standard questions

On 28 Aug I received passport request. I submitted on 29 Aug. On 4 Sep I recieved msg visa applications dispatched from IIRC office to Chandigarh .. At evening I received msg visa applications received at Chandigarh Oc. But after that no any msg. I wait my passport because I give ludhiana address... Any one tell me plz

12 month time estimate. We all miss our families so if there was a way to do it faster, we'd all be doing that. Good luck.

From what I've seen (but not experienced, so I could be wrong) this can be normal for some applications. It could mean that they might want to request an interview, which typically done at the nearest VO. It's not guaranteed, but it's a possibility.

There's no express way to get your PR sooner, you have to apply and wait like everyone else

Because as per the CIC instructions, paper application for Open work Permit only to be submitted by some with disability or there is a problem with online application. Appreciate you support.

Spousal sponsorship is the exception to the rule about having to submit the OWP online. You have to print it and mail it with your PR application
