Required passport validity period for PR visa?

Hello, I submitted outland family sponsorship application. I'm expecting to receive passport request (PPR) letter soon. My Passport will expire after four months from now.

-My first question:
Are there any requirements for passport validity period to issue PR visa (e.g. six months validity at least)?

- My second question:
Suppose I renewed my passport before I receive passport request. How would I update my passport information in the application?

It has to be valid for at least 6 months from the time you get the visa affixed. Its clearly written on their website as well. If you were to renew it youd have to provide them with a copy of your new passport ASAP
