I need your advice please. I am an engineer (not licensed) working in the field in Ontario and I want to apply to Ontario PNP. I know that engineering is a regulated occupation in Ontario and I should have a license before I apply to PNP.
But if I had a job offer with the same NOC as mechanical engineer and same duties but with different title like designer for example and a professional engineer will always check and sign my work. I can include this in both letter of employment and the job offer.
Do you guys think that would work? Or are they going to refuse my application?
Ontario does not have specific in demand NOC list. Mostly they invite people with ICT occupations. Wait for the next round of invitations. You might be in for a surprise since they already have issued 1500+ tech NOI's
I have the nomination now (NOC 0213).
For the benefit of others, here are the timelines:
NOI 12th July
Submission 22nd July
Assessment 8th Aug
DIP 15th Aug
Nomination 5th Sept

May I know if you also applied under FSW?
Do you know if your previous employers were contacted? I fear that one of my employers may be difficult to contact. I had to ask our department manager to follow up our HR many times and just got the letter 3 weeks later >_<
I'm a bit worried as it seems that my application was submitted way before the others but still in DIP
