Hello all. I am now a Canadian permanent resident. I did my soft landing Aug 24 late at night at YYZ and I just got back.
If you tagged me in a question, tag me again if you still need help. Most I saw were already answered (better than I could anyway, especially by @legalfalcon). He has me worried about the PR card shipping since a friend of mine will be shipping them to me. I wasn't under the impression this was wrong in any way, previously.

PPR on 29/8/19! I sincerely wish the same to all members of the forum.
No ghost updates for me, but I did experience crashing pages yesterday late afternoon and received the PPR email a couple of hours later. No changes on the account today.

@legalfalcon is not wrong but in practice many people based in US get their PR cards shipped and I haven't read any unpleasant incident so far in this forum. Even I got mine shipped to USA.
