Hello all, am an outland applicant, AOR on 31 July 2018, on 16 August 2019 received email from cic for pre -arrival services and informing me that they have started processing my background check, before MR !!!! Guys do u find it normal ? thanks for your comments
Actually I am inland applicant and when I call them they told me it is in process .Last month they asked rprf fees so it is not assurance.Someone told me if you got rprf fees to submit u r near the medical is it true
Sorry to hijack your conversation, but when I called CIC about 2 weeks back, the agent was upfront enough to tell me that most of the processing happens towards the end of processing timeline. Maybe that's why they have such a huge processing timeline. Like you wait in the queue for the initial 12 months or a year, post which your processing starts. Just my guess though!
Federal stage only for CSQ holders. CSQ proceeding time is different, depends under which program you apply, but with the new law it is not very clear.
Today I saw my ECAS status changed to " Decision Made", but I haven't got any emails or updates on CIC yet. I guess I just need to wait for a few more days?
My application was delayed and here's my timeline, I am an inland applicant:
2017.09.21 AR
2017.12.18 FN
2018.04.17 material request, ME request
2018.05 MER and passed
2019.08.15 Medical extended and passed.
DM on ECAS today.
If your application is delayed, please call them. It really helps at least you would know someone is taking care. Good luck everyone!
I too have a similar situation. I applied in April 2018 but I received AOR in December 2018 ( eight months later). Although complete Application and all the required documents were submitted at the time of Application. Mine is a paper Application and in the AOR they clearly mentioned that they received my Application dated April, 2018, I hope my process starts from then. I see most of the applicants received AOR on an average of 3-4 months. I seriously don't understand these discrepancies.
