Hello everyone, I like to think they are moving really fast!

I am sponsoring my wife from Colombia and we sent our application on May 3, 2019

They received our application on May 8, 2010
They started processing our application on June 25, 20
They sent correspondence acknowledging receipt of our application(s) on June 26, 2019.
They sent an email asking for Biometrics on August 8, 2019 appointment for August 14th, 2019
They sent "We are pleased to inform that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor" August 12, 2019 also sent to the principal applicant a police check document from her country..

Hopefully we can be together soon here in Canada !!

I got SA in march and no VO yet. Does anyone know if someone visiting under dual intent cab get a work permit while we wait for PR?

ouff.... i don't think a PA (from outland application) can work in canada while waiting a PR.... cause entering as visitor means usually not working hehe if most ppl would be able to work still... you think majority would wait in their country ? they accept ppl (from visa exempt places) that can demonstrate still a strong tie to their country while waiting... as visitor but working heum...

Yeah my partner is already in Canada, entered under dual intent so is a temporary resident. I'm hoping we at least hear from cic soon about the VO transfer...

Good but asking to work as temporary resident waiting for PR... heum.. not sure and We ALL hope for a CIC response on VO's at the moment...At least the PA is in Canada in your case so you can live with...we all don't have that chance.

your file could possibly be transferred before medical request. Our file was was transferred to Accra June 19 with no Biometric or medical request. They did ask us for additional document which I'm hoping we can submit by the end of this week.

It can also be cancelled if they decide a PA doesn't need a PR (if a PA is already a Canadian citizen, for example), and for some other reasons.

Hello, got figured out it was cancelled due to incomplete info, they sent the whole package to my husband in May with the instruction to submit a police certificate, I didn't know that the process would go back from the beginning after we've mailed again the documents with the lacking info, so now we have a new application number and I have just received Biometrics and Med request, thanks god! For biometrics I see only to location here in PH which is Cebu and Manila, I live in General Santos, so I would probably choose Cebu, any input on what to bring and how long does it take for the Biometrics process? Thanks a lot in advance.

The whole application was sent back because u needed a police check? I needed an additional police check too, but I since moved from that address. Is there a chance they mailed my application back to my old place? I updated my address but like a week before moving...
