Also ask for advice if anyone had experience. My mom just did medical test in JUNE in Canada. The doctor said I need to contact CIC to use her existing record. Doctor is not allowed to do the test again in such a short time gap. Should I email CIC or use webform or call them? Thanks for help.

Hi guys,

I have applied for my mom's sponsorship as below:
Invitation received on Apr. 24
Application received by CIC on May 25

But I have not received any confirmation from CIC on the receipt of documents and I am not able to link the application to the online account as it gives me the error "Based on the information you entered, we found no applications". Is this normal? How do you check ECAS? Is it a paid service?

Any suggestions by AOR is May 16..I got the request for 5669 for handwritten signature in July n inreplied next day, but no news after that. Neither I am able to track application..

May I ask how CIC sent out the biometrics request/ forms? To applicant’s email? To sponsor’s email? Or sent to applicant in regular mail? I am not able to link the application to my CIC account even after trying all the combinations. From the online tool, it said there is a letter sent on August 7 and we did not receive anything. I don’t want to miss the biometrics which requests to complete within 30 days.

1) you will get email notification to check myCIC . under myCIC you can download BIO request letter for each applicant.

2) SA letter will send by email attachment ( within 4-5 days after DM)

yes you can but you have to wait till CIC not request you to submit.

Does the ECAS status updates happen once a day (database sync at fixed time) or they can happen at anytime during day?
