Calling CIC - steps*

1- *CIC call centre*
+16139444000

2- English *press 1*

3- immigration *press 1*

4- transfer to citzship and imm can processing application *press 1*

5- status or processing times *press 1*

6- become permanent resident *press 2*

7- application starts with E *press 2*

8- then enter *application number* followed by #

9- listen to the entered number and *press 1* to confirm

10- enter the *year of birth* and then listen the entered number and *press 1* to confirm

11- hear the details

12- then *press 1* to check status (there will be a pause)

13- hear detailed status at the end *press 0* to speak to agent.

I am discussing as I noticed GU when ADR was requested on 13 March 2019 . We uploaded on 15 March then again ADR on 16 March and uploaded on 17 March . MEP 18 March .BIL 19 March completed . ADR was schedule A 5669imm form . 1 st we uploaded electronic one then again it was requested with original signature of my husband. And during this time we noticed quite no of GU . Though we’re not aware it meant GU lol . I guess it was during this time criminality got passed . And nothing else initiated

Same boat rider AOR 22 Jan.. for me no updates after last GU in May... background check in progress since May now it's more than 2 months. Maybe CSS??

How soon is very soon...

The issue is they have not started eligibility and security. My worry if they raise any issue or observation this will delay even more. (Though my documents are up to date and feel their should be no issue.)

This suspense and wait.

absolutely understand but still, why would you think of the worse?
I was in the same place and in a matter of few days Eligibility was pass
It is normal these days to cross 6-8 months.

i usually check it once a day, so not that we need to check it daily, but it would be wise to check it during the weekdays at least.
Also, i think my GU were at the beginning of Canada working hours.

in the beginning I honestly never paid attention.

Basically, every time the officers there look into your file, you are meant to see a GU. The later in the stage the better

My medicals are valid till Jan 2020. If I want to avoid landing in peak winter, can I request for repeat medical after PPR so that validity gets extended. I don't want to ask before getting PPR. With already 7 months from AOR and having an update that criminality and Eligibility passed , with security to start , it may not be ok to seek repeat medical at this stage.. Can any one guide please...???

I am afraid this is not possible, you either hope that your PPR comes asap, or comes after you have redone your medical.
Some people I know have had their medical extended automatically by IRCC, so you can only evaluate these things once the PPR comes.

I wouldn't worry too much now.. wait and then evaluate later once you get the golden email

17 January...can't get an update from Goodale's office till 9 August..already did on 9 May..and at that time nothing had happened to my application..but lately I got three ghost updates..I am worried that my file is maybe in comprehensive security screening..i hope that's not the case

did you receive any email for first ghost update like 'your application has been updated' or just your profile updated when you logged in your account ?
