That what I was thinking .. alot of people with application recieved on 26 29 and 30th stuck due to selecting humanitarian basis.. still waiting for @redmonkey1995 reply... I think we should select refund.. I choose it just because in case government change... we can go through that way..
Are you referring to the tick where it says proceed even if not eligible? I do not check that tick as the guide says will be rejected anyway even if selected, I do not know why there is such option as both case results in denied if not eligible

If you read carefully the Guide you will have a better understanding.
It clearly says if you select refund that means they will refund all fees minus the $75 processing fees.
But if you select to proceed inspite of Sponsor eligibility denial then your case will be considered on humanitarian compansiate grounds. That means you will be not considered Sponsor in this case. The government will be acting as a sponsor for your parents to immigrate them here on humanitarian grounds.
Let's just close this discussion as you can see the moderator even deleted deareastlovelybear post as he is just bring chaos up here since last Feb 2019.
CIC asked us to send IMM5669 for my mom. I already filled out for my dad and I thought it just needed for the main applicant.
I saw some cases that they asked for documentation, but no one received the AOR number yet.
Could you please let us know when you received your AOR#?
I want to know how long does it take to review document and send the AOR#.
Exactly, thus I don't think the selection would matter at all for eligible sponsors and applicants. But if someone wants to dig deeper and further, by all means..
