Does Visitor visa extension (a visitor record) has any relation with the PGP ?

I had applied for my parents PGP in 2019, I did got confirmation number and submitted complete application. Now waiting for AOR.
My Parents are in Canada as visitor for 5 months now (they came here for 6 month visit visa), and I am now interested in applying for an extension (a visitor record)

My concern is, since we have submitted PGP application, will it effect visit visa. OR I am worried for no reason.

I have finally completed all biometrics, medical request and police certificate. All marked as completed in MyCIC. For those who are in Canada, you can go to Kevflavik in Iceland, it is very short trip and the cost is reasonable, there are also overnight flight which save you time if you want to take time off to go with parents. The only downside is that your parents need to have a EU visa to enter Iceland. Next I am now waiting for PPR and it will be all done!

As per tracker your "In propcess" and "DM" both same????

That is correct. Both were on the same date. However, i just got a letter from CPC today i.e. July 17th about the decision made status with backdated.

for visitor you need CIC request letter to apply PCC from BLS

Can medical also be done here also? Just trying to figure out if there is a scenario where parents have to return back home to complete the outstanding requirements. Hopefully no biometric for people that was already here

Don't know yet as I did not get the letter it is just reflecting in ecas. I believe they will send mail as I forgot to enter an email address for my GP.
