Have you checked with CRA about who can be your dependents? I think not.

I am of the understanding if I file tax by putting her as my dependent then obviously I will get a tax break.

You will send PCC by webform, so scan should be fine. Did you get PCC through Passport Seva?

I guess, your parents had an appointment on July 15 at Passport Seva kendra - How did it go ?
Did they gave the PCC same day? Any hassle?
Can you please share your experience regarding this?

Seeing some May 3 with DM and even medical request amaze me. Happy for them.. They’re getting closer in reuniting with their parents..
I am from May 3 and since I just got my in process status last week I am expecting some improvement in 2 weeks like bio request or SA email.
No further request for additional docs yet..

Hello Members, I have one quick question about Medical Exam of parents. Can anyone who had experienced the IME recently for PGP help me to explain that what kind of exam is done in India for IME?
My parents are in India (Punjab) and have some stable medical conditions. I am wondering if those will possess any risk to their PR file? If someone can share the type of consultation , exams and tests done during parents's IME?

Yes, based on this progress, some may get PR for parents within 5 months. However, that will not be true for most of us.

I did provide an update in a previous post. See post #14947 pg 997

From what we understood from the Passport Seva Agent, that local Police Stations no longer issue PCC directly. They refer applicants back to the Passport Seva office and take an appointment. The request to the local PO for PCC has to come from Passport Seva. But your mileage could vary.

By wondering, you cannot eliminate any possibilities, so relax. This is general medical exam and they look for any sign of future medical risks. Stable medical conditions are generally not an issue.

Wait for ecas status. Most likely within 2-3 weeks.

Do I have to maintain a minimum income during the processing of the application?
You and your co-signer, if applicable, must meet the amounts outlined in the Minimum Necessary Income for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship (LICO +30%) from the date on which IRCC receives your sponsorship application until the day your family members become permanent residents of Canada.

Your income may be reassessed at any time during processing if new information indicates that you may no longer meet the minimum income requirements or if more than 12 months have passed between the dates on which we receive your application and when processing of the application begins.

Thanks for your concern and advice, appreciate it. Someone made me worried by telling that heart conditions will not pass the medical exam. I know that mainly IME includes General checkup/Consultation, Chest XRay, but want to know the real picture from someone who has experienced the real exam?

I called to make sure that the document i send was received. what the real reason for some people to have ECAS and not others is still a mystery. Also people not able to access ECAS no matter when the submitted their application did not get an AOR as per the tracker.

@joyus . Your ecas is not available using parents or your UCI, or the confirmed file number ?. That will be strange, given you are at a stage of medical request.
