Q12b) Tell us when you filed your income taxes in the last 5 years:
I just realised that I entered the last 3 years(2018/2017/2016) in Q12b instead of 5.
Since, I was neither a PR nor in Canada in 2015/2014 and was not suppose to file any taxes for year 2015/2014. I missed entering 2015/2014 and checking 'No' under 'Required to file' and 'Taxes Filed' columns in the table.
Will this be ok or they can send the application back considering it incomplete...?
I think you should be good. This question wont drag u to the logic that its incomplete. First u were not required to file taxes (they know that) second u have given a consent that they can check with CRA. Doesn't matter if u check or not they will still cross check with CRA. If u do check and u haven't filed then it might be an issue of misrepresentation which in ur case its not. below are the guidelines on this question
Tell us if you have a federally issued: Social Insurance Number (SIN), Temporary Tax Number (TTN), and/or Individual Tax Number (ITN). If yes, provide the 9 digit number.
Complete the chart and tell us which years you were required to file your taxes and which years you actually filed.
Check Yes to authorize the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to provide details of your tax filing information (including income, benefit, and residence information) to IRCC. By checking Yes you are also authorizing IRCC to collect your tax filing information from the CRA to help determine whether you meet the income tax requirement and physical presence requirement for citizenship as well as to examine your tax information in activities to support quality assurance and integrity in the citizenship program.
Subsection 8(1) of the Privacy Act and paragraph 241(5)(b) of the Income Tax Act allows the Canada Revenue Agency to provide personal information to IRCC, with the consent of the relevant individuals. This consent is required under paragraph 2(1)(e) of the Citizenship Regulations, No. 2.
Well its not official data. Its build by forum members and undated by forum members. Its excel based and gets calculated with excel formulas. If members dates are accurate and updated regularly at all stage then its gives almost the exact timelines.
keep in mind that all above needs to be right and updated. generally people give application date in excitement and after that they forget to update r visit forum so u might not see all updates.
Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to be joining this group by next weekend which is when I will be sending my application .
I can't help but worry that by October, there will be another election and we will have to worry about knowing the new PM & party, Opposition leader and party, etc I'd be so happy if my test invite came before Oct 21 but all wishful thinking lol
@irishibanez we have many new members and their application details. We would appreciate if you can kindly update the sheet and get the July tab going.
Hi there. I have just completed the citizenship exam, and I passed well. I am awaiting my convocation date. I studied from the official study guide, but I study better in quiz format, so this website was also very useful: http://www.studycanadaexams.com/
I wish you all luck with your application and the exam!
