Spousal application transferred to Etobicoke

Does someone know the reason why a file may be transferred for further assessment?

Do you any body knows how long it will take to receive appointment for interview after transfer?

My file was transferred tp etobicoke for further assessment about a month ago

Etobicoke Office is slow, its taking 6- 9 months to see any changes once its transferred. Further assessment can be for many reason example they doubt your relationship or if they doubt your ineligible and many others things. IRCC Etobicoke would do in depth assessment and come to conclusion. IRCC Etobicoke does not have any time frame and I have seen many members waiting over a year after the file is transfered .
I would suggest you request for GCMS notes to know the reason for your file to be transferred. The agent working on ur case would keep notes why he is transferring your file for further assessment.

My application was sent to etobicoke office july 11. On may 26 i was ask to submit more document regarding my proof of relationship/cohabitation. I submitted everything and they received it on june 14.

But now my application been sent to etobicoke.
Should i be worry

Mine was transferred last month for workshare still no update
Already pass 13 months

I understand they take 8 months when it gets transferred for further assessment but my notes says its for workshare and its been more then a month i didnt heard after transfer so worried and sad

If your application is transfered for Workshare you would probably hear from them soon. But IRCC Etobicoke is quite slow. You can call the call center and see if they can help you with a timeline.

Does it say for further assessment or workshare. If workshare you should be ok. Further assessment might take typically between 6- 9 months.
Order your GCMS notes. At the bottom they do write the notes and might know the exact reason.

If your application is transfered for Workshare you would probably hear from them soon. But IRCC Etobicoke is quite slow. You can call the call center and see if they can help you with a timeline.

No they didn't asked anything before transfer...
They had some issues with our relationship geniuneship

You mentioned in a previous post that someone called immigration to say that your marriage isn't genuine. That might be why they sent it for further assessment, no?
