I received letter form CPC-M today saying I can apply for sponsorship with MIDI Quebec. But my Parents name is not complete on the letter, its missing their surname.

I have a question regarding PCC.
As per IRCC, the PCC should not be older that 6 months after you apply. Can please someone explain what it means.
My concern is: Should I go ahead and apply for PCC for my parents or should I wait until IRCC requests for PCC.
My application was received in Ottawa on May 28, 2019. I am still waiting for ECAS status and AOR.
What you guys are doing regarding PCC from India

Some are getting it proactively, but I am going to wait for my application to atleast go to decision made on sponsor side before applying for PCC.

To apply PCC from India you need PCC request letter from CIC . Without CIC request letter for PCC I don't think passport office will issue PCC in india.
Correct me if i am wrong.

Just wait untill you get the letter from IRCC.

PCC should not be older that 6 months after you apply.

So no earlier than 6months before the date you signed your forms.

I booked an appointment for my parents for Monday the 15th online to get an India-wide PCC using the Passport Seva Website. As I understand, if the address on aadhar card matches the passport address the PCC is issued the same day. Of course, no criminal history as well.

I have eCAS / myCIC status (application received/ In process) and got AoR yesterday.

Your choice really to wait / apply proactively. Irrespective, I will update on Monday on how it goes. Cheers

You can request an extension using the webform but will ultimately have to go out of Canada and get biometrics done.
